But it prolongs bloom time which is OK with me.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07472642679947517392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31428116.post-25479530813046790092010-05-24T06:27:29.362-05:002010-05-24T06:27:29.362-05:00I never got around to doing a GBBD post. Oh, well....the world of gardening will survive without me. lol

I kind of like the idea of a single rose blooming just in time for GBBD.

Your lupine is lovely. I've been wanting a white one but have been unable to find one, so I added another pink one. Mine don't look as good as yours.

Hope my allium multiply like yours.

donnadonnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06950476333013336671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31428116.post-76233888257055992612010-05-17T07:32:20.399-05:002010-05-17T07:32:20.399-05:00Hi Jan,

Bethlehem has grown quite a bit since the 70's. We have theater, music, festivals, great restaurants and a quaint Main Street district. It's a great place to live.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07472642679947517392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31428116.post-51053526177463457702010-05-16T11:18:04.971-05:002010-05-16T11:18:04.971-05:00We're at that in-between stage, too, here in n...We're at that in-between stage, too, here in northern VA. Rhodies are finished but roses haven't yet started (at least not here in my own garden). I keep forgetting to plant the giant alliums and I am going to be certain to do it this fall. I love them! And your rose bush climbing on the arbor is going to be gorgeous. I used to live in Bethlehem, when I was in 'middle school' in the '70's. I went to East Hills Jr. High, although not sure if it's still there?! I think most of the kids went on to Freedom HS from there. I also remember Liberty as another HS. Anyway, happy bloom day;-)Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12844013803699228989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31428116.post-11192900698872048722010-05-16T06:44:59.437-05:002010-05-16T06:44:59.437-05:00Dreamybee,
