A few sightings of actual plant life in cold, damp Pennsylvania this morning.

A row of heather (Erica x darleyensis 'Silberschmelze') fearless against the cold.
My favorite weatherman promised warm weather and sunshine by the end of the week. The daffodils buds are near bursting in anticipation.
Visit other (warmer?) gardens follow the links on our host Carol’s blog at May Dreams Gardens. Thank you Carol!

Soon, very soon you will have lovely Daffs..
The purple on your crocuses is beautiful. It looks like they are all going to burst out in song as soon as the sun comes out! I have no idea why, but that's what I thought as soon as I saw them. :)
Aren't the buds just as pretty as the flowers, in a way? Happy Bloom Day!
Thank you all for stopping by. I enjoyed browsing through your blogs. That's the great thing about bloom day.
No wildflowers, tropical flowers or peacocks here. LOL
I'm always on the lookout for pussy willows this time of year. I hate the thought of them with frozen rain drops on their fuzzy heads.
We've experiencing fabulous weather, but snow/rain/cold predicted for the weekend.
My crocuses are just peeking out of the ground a tiny bit. Yours are gorgeous and way ahead of mine.

Donna,
The sun and warm, dry weather has returned to PA. The crocuses are beautiful and the willow trees are beginning to show color. I hope you aren't far behind.
Pussy Willow is something we don't have this far south. I had forgotten how we anticipated them in the Spring growing up. Ah, thanks for the memory spark.
I loved what you said about the crocus shivering. I could just see their poor little petals shivering in the chilly breeze. LOL! We are having sunny but chilly weather here too! Spring is finally starting to pop in spite of the cool weather.
MG,
I'm happy to say the crocus are done shivering and have opened to warm sunshine. Garden cleanup can begin in earnest.
Did your gardenia make it through the winter?
I've always wanted to grow heather but it is just another one of those wonderful plants that aren't going to do well in zone 4. We are in for another snow fall tomorrow, the first day of spring. Ironic, huh?
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Marnie
Marnie,
Oh no! Not another snowfall. Hopefully it will disappear as quickly as a leprechaun's trail. Happy spring!
