Only 7 days until daylight saving time – 13 days to spring.
Snow is two feet high where we shoveled it on piles but soil is beginning to appear in sunny spots. So where are the crocuses? ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJpiuj5NBU_NWyNUyt_rR7qmyP3dB8wxhHG5YWNqE9xw7G4jE6lW5i0RtqYvORayQEZ34QR29kVnHu3-K9zGMelZYF3dS9UUO2Ezb6oMF4hpGGnqw8T6sMjwxG9J80IK8u-egU/s320/Garden+3-5-2010_11.jpg)

Some tiny little crocus leaves can be spotted if you look hard enough.

The daffodils are poking through the soil.

Snow drops are opening everywhere.

If I don't get snow drops planted in 2010, then there must be something wrong with me. We're also starting to see a few patches of grass and soil here and there.
Thanks for sharing your crocus bloom. Makes me happy to see it.

I was sooooo excited over one crocus bloom! - doesn't take much. LOL
What sweet little crocus blooms! Mighty impressive snow banks too! Hope they are melted soon.
Hi MG,
We still have a few snow piles left but they are rapidly disappearing. Above freezing weather and rain the rest of this week should take care of that.
I have been excited to see the crocus, daff and tulip foliage...I'll be thrilled when the blooms actually appear;-) What a thrill!
Jan,
The sight of new growth is energizing! I imagine all northern gardeners are wandering around outside searching for new growth.
