More Fall Color

.
Red Maple.

The colors are so brilliant right now that I have to post a few examples from my garden. I’ll stop with these, I promise.
Sweet Shrub (Calycanthus floridus).

The large maple that shades our house.

Dogwood leaf (Cornus florida).

PJM Rhododendron with its fall purple hue and one over-eager flower.

Hello Marie, it´s so beautiful out there. How old are your Maples? I have some and one is about 11 years old but is not very tall or large... don´t know why.
Your Rododendro has very different leaves from mine, and the flower has come very late, isn´t it??

Maria Cecelia,

The red maple is about 10 years old and the maple with the yellow leaves is about 30 years old.

The PJM rhodendron is different from all my other rhodendron. I blogged about it on April 25, 2009.
April or May is the usual bloom time. It was fooled into opening this little flower by a few days warm weather. My other rhododendrons and azaleas do that too. Most of the buds will wait to open until spring.

Thank you for asking.

Marie,
You can post all the pictures you want of your autumn color. They are so vibrant and vivid--gorgeous!
